Rick Wolfert recently became President and CEO of
GE Capital Healthcare Financial Services, a new
business of GE Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary
of General Electric. The company was created through
the consolidation of the specialty healthcare finance
units of GE Capital. By combining all of the healthcare
services of GE, GE Capital Healthcare Financial
Services has quickly become a global player in the
healthcare industry with $10 billion in assets.
GE Capital Healthcare provides services in every
aspect of the healthcare industry including, equipment
leasing, financing, equity investments, and vendor
services. General Electric is listed on the New
York Stock Exchange under the symbol GE.
Wolfert is the former President and Chief Operating
Officer of Heller Financial, Inc. Heller was recently
acquired by GE and is a recognized leader in commercial
finance, providing a broad array of financial products
and services to mid-sized and small businesses through
its worldwide operations in 20 countries.
Wolfert also served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive
Officer of KeyCorp Leasing Ltd. In this position,
he had responsibilities for KeyCorp's $5 billion
leasing group that also included Leasetec and Key
Global Finance, Ltd. From 1993 to 1996 he served
as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
of KeyBank USA N.A. Prior to joining KeyCorp in
1988, he was employed by U.S. Leasing Corporation
for 9 years in its San Francisco headquarters.
He
is a member of Heller Financial's Board of Directors
and currently serves as Chairman-elect of the Equipment
Leasing Association of America (ELA), a national
leasing industry trade organization representing
over 800 member companies.
Wolfert graduated from Louisiana State University
in 1976 with a B.S. in Business Administration.
Wolfert is also a graduate of the Stonier Graduate
School of Banking at the University of Delaware.
He is currently serving on the E. J. Ourso College
of Business Executive Advisory Board. In addition,
Wolfert's Chicago-area civic interests include serving
as Vice-Chairman at Junior Achievement of Chicago,
a trustee of the Chicago Zoological Society / Brookfield
Zoo, and serving on the Board of Directors of St.
Joseph's Carondelet Child Center,
