Jeffrey A. Kleinpeter is the personnel manager,
fleet manager, benefits manager, and risk manager
of Kleinpeter Farms Dairy, Inc. in Baton Rouge,
LA. Incorporated in 1913, Kleinpeter Farms Dairy
Inc. was established when the German family settled
in Louisiana in 1776. It is the last family-owned
and operated independent milk processor in Louisiana
and one of few remaining in the country. Kleinpeter
Farms, Inc. produces approximately 160,000 gallons
of milk per week in addition to other milk products
created from scratch. The company recently moved
full-circle back into the business of raising its
own dairy herd. Kleinpeter intends to incorporate
new technological and nutritional advances made
in the last 17 years (since the family sold the
dairy herd) and provide educational tours to children
and local dairy farmers. Jeff ran his own construction
company for four years after earning a marketing
degree from LSU. He returned to the family business
in 1987 as personnel manager when his father bought
the business from four of his brothers. Jeff is
a board member of Kleinpeter Farms Dairy, Inc.,
Boy Scouts of America, Istrouma Area Council, American
Cancer Society, and Capitol Sertoma of Baton Rouge.
He previously served as a board member of YMCA and
Episcopal High School Board of Trustees.
